1997 Montero Gen 2 O2 sensor(s)?

Hello good people,

So I looked and looked and found conflicting information, hoping one or more of you Montero geniuses can answer a question. Question: How many oxygen sensors does the SOHC 3.5 engine have?

If your 1997 is the same as my 2000 Gen 2.5, the California version has 4 O2 sensors. Upstream left and right, and downstream left and right. Upstream right is accessible from the top of the car. Upstream left is accessible from below the car by the front wheel. Downstream left and right are accessible from under the car near the transmission.

I'm not sure if non-California versions have the same number of 02 sensors.

GFO, I just looked on Rock Auto and its showing different O2 sensor part numbers for 1997 than for 1999 (which are the parts I used). There are however 4 O2 sensors shown for 1997.

Year ago I barely passed smog and about a month ago I got a check engine light, have a gut feeling one or more of my O2 sensors went out. Just wanted to price shop in advanced if it happens to be that.
