1997 SR dash lights are out.

The instrument cluster has a couple random bulbs that have burned out. None of the lights on the AC or heater work. The digital compass doesn't work. Neither does the gear shifter selector lights work. Could it all just be a coincidence? Or is this a case of a bad fuse?

When ever I deal with electrical problems I always start with the fuse. Grab yourself a test light and test all of the fuses in your panel.

After that then refer to your wiring diagrams in the FSM to begin tracing the problems.

Following the obvious fuse route I'd try cleaning the contacts on the headlight switch and dimmer rheostat? knob thingy.
