1998 Stewart&Stevenson LMTV M1088 6x6 Flat bed truck that started originally as a tractor unit and than had the 15’ flat bed installed.9k winch on bed works great to pull up toys onto it. It was used to haul a Volvo C303 to Pismo Beach several times and it handled the load with ease even out in the sand. 12’ 10 k aluminum ramps are included with the truck.
Truck has 8400 original miles and it runs and drives great. Everything works like it should. Had complete fluid service less than 700 miles ago. 4 new 6 volt deep cycle batteries replaced 1 year ago. Cat Diesel engine with Allison automatic transmission.
There are no leaks on the drivetrain. I have driven it several times 300 miles or longer without any problems.
Cab has seating for 3 adults and I’ve had 2 small kids sit on the storage boxes inside cab behind driver and passenger seat. I will include 2 new front high back leather seats with sale. Forward and reverse camera and has the ability to add 2 more cameras that will come with it. 2 roof racks on cab with ladders on both sides of cab to access them. Large storage rack behind cab works well for large cooler. Rugged radio PA system with 2 head sets. You can also play music through the system.
The ctis system works well Most of the time. At times it acts up and I have to unplug and plug it back in. At times it takes 1 or 2 tries and sometimes a bit longer but it has never let me down.
Spare tire is brand new.
I also have 8 new Michelin Zxl tires and wheels that I would be willing to sell for an additional $3500. They are still in factory crates and have never been on the road. I can forklift into bed and strap down for transportation.
Body has no rust and no significant damage. It was sprayed black over the old green color. Makes it very easy to touch up.
We bought the truck to convert into off-road expedition camper but changed direction. Sons are getting into side x sides and dessert racing so we are looking at buying a Toter home.
