*** SOLD *** (as of 9.27.10)
1998 Toyota Land Cruiser with 170K, zero modifications, this thing has never been off road and it shows. We bought the LC from a fellow I8MUD member in Knoxville, it is very clean for it's age but obviously not perfect. It has a few door dings, scratch on the front bumper, etc. The truck has absolutely zero rust, I mean none, not even a little, anywhere. It has no leaks what so ever and every single button and light work with the exception of the "D" light on the dash.
We have owned this LC for almost two years and looked at roughly 10 before buying this one. List of good / bad / services:
Good:
No rust
Body in good shape
Interior in good shape
Very clean
New Firestone Destination A/T's (approx. 750 miles)
Manifolds do not leak & are not cracked
Factory Rear Electric Locker (works perfectly)
Decent miles
Bad:
Not much to report here
PO tried to buff passenger fender and did not do a good job
Will need 90K service in about 15-20K miles (timing belt & water pump)
A few dents, door dings and scratches here and there...appropriate for age.
Key fob does not work, have to unlock the doors the old fashion way
Gas Mileage
Services:
All fluids flushed and changed since we have owned it (all fluids)
New brakes front and rear approx. 1,500 miles ago
Regular oil changes
This was my wife's LC and her father recently passed away and against my better judgement (and her's), she wants her daddy's truck for sentimental reasons. I am not going to fight her on this one, I would probably do the same thing. This has been a wonderful truck and I obviously trust my family in it to go anywhere. You can walk around it, look inside and underneath and tell it has been pampered both before and after we bought it. I really can't beleive we are selling this for a Yukon but like I said, I am not fighting her on this one.
LC is located in Cookeville, TN about an hour from Nashville or Knoxville on I-40. Price is $9,000 (reduced again). As mentioned above, we looked at 10 or so before buying this one and I know what dealers are asking for these, I am not a dealer and hate to sale things and argue over the price. It doesn't need anything unless you are turning it in to a Expo rig....I have plenty of pictures I can e-mail, if you want to see anything specific, please let me know, I will be happy to help.
Thanks for looking - Curt
