1999 Discovery SD 141,000 miles, woodcoat green. Suspension modifications consist of the following : 2 inch Old Man Emu lift, Rovertym long travel rear shock kit, Procomp ES9000 shocks, Old Man Emu steering stabilizer, Discovery 2 front driveshaft. Custom high clearance front bumper, has rocksliders installed also to protect the bottoms of the doors while offroading. Land Rover Genuine dog gaurd. dual sunroofs, heated front seats.
I have spent of lot of time with this Discovery and I love it, unfortunately its time to sell it and get a vehicle that gets a bit better fuel economy. In the fall of 2012 I replaced the original 4.0 motor due to a slipped engine liner, while I was doing that I upgraded the engine to the larger 4.6 displacement for a little extra grunt. It has been about 8,000 miles since that work was done. All engine related gaskets were replaced at that time. I also replaced the waterpump while I had it off.
The exhaust has been upgraded with a Magnaflow muffler and the tail pipe was rerouted for high clearance so you won't smash if if you are offroading.
Has 265/75R16 Big O A/T's with approximately 60% treadlife left.
As with most older Land Rovers the paint has started to fade on the roof and the hood, but I used a product called Plastidip to cover the fading on the hood, and also provide the hood blackout look that is popular if you have roof mounted lights. If you dont like the look of it, Plastidip can be pilled right off and will not leave any residue.
The headlights have been changed out to the DIscovery 2 headlights.
This winter I completely stripped the interior and did some preventative work on the common rust areas in the floor pans and then coated the floor with bedliner and then reinstalled the interior, you wont ever notice that it was done but its good to deal with those things before they get too bad.

This is a great running vehicle and I am trying to put everything that I know about in the ad, there are 2 areas that I know leak a little fluid, the power steering hoses and the transfercase both will leave a spot on the driveway about the size of a quarter. And probably the most annoying thing is that the seat switches pop out of the console sometimes, I just haven't gotten around to replacing the seat switch plates to stop it from popping out.
