SOLD

We our selling our 1999 Mitsubishi Montero that has been my wife's daily driver for the last 10 years and as our family vacation vehicle. It has been very reliable but has started to smoke and use oil (does not leak), about a quart every 1000 miles. A Mitsubishi mechanic has said that it is the valve seals that's very common for these engines at around 200k miles. The engine still has good compression and drives great, I'm sure it could go another 100k once the valve seals have been replaced. It currently has 232k miles and we are the second owners, we purchased it about 10 years ago with 116k miles.
Everything works except for the power antenna that was broken off at a car wash, I replaced it with an arrow. LOL
It does show wear and tear like stained carpet, bumps and bruises. The front left corner has a dent and busted marker light from a deer strike this past spring. It has never been in an accident There is some surface rust starting just below the doors on both sides as seen in the pics. There's no other rust anywhere.
New timing belt and full tune up at 200k miles and new battery 2 months ago. The BFG KO tires are about half tread. Oil changes every 3k miles. Garage kept since we've owned it.

This Montero has every available option including the hard to find locking rear differential/locker.

It would make for a great budget expedition build! If I didn't already have my Mazda diesel project, I'd build this rig.

Asking $1800, located near Louisville KY. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this anywhere, just keep an eye on the oil level.

Is that the only thing wrong with it is that it burns oil because I would be driving it back to New Mexico thanks Ken
