The folks I have talked to (experienced mechanic beyond 98% of most mechanics) have recommended higher viscosity oil, I hear what your saying though. Well its been in there for a few miles, like 3 or 4. It has noisy lifters, so more oil pressure should help get the oil to where it's needed. The new owner will know what's in it, and if they want it out by all means they can drain it.

Do not put 15w40 in that engine, it's too thick for the oil passages.

15w40 Rotella is for Diesel engines.
100% Disagree I run 15W40 Diesel Motor oil in my Montero Sport 6G72 to help it's thirsty exhaust valve guide seals; been running that oil for the past 80,000 miles and the motor has 230,000 on it with no rebuild, still runs great and has always had excellent oil pressure.
