1999 4runner SR5 Highlander Edition. Think pre-Sport, as the Sport was introduced in 2000. This 99 model came with the rear electronic locker. It also has power everything, sunroof, and CD w/ aux input. I have owned it one year, and installed:
*2" Old Man Emu lift
*Rock sliders
*Reciever hitch flipped for added rear clearance
*IPF driving lights w/ translucent covers
*Lower plastic front bumper part removed for more clearnace(caught it on a ledge while fording a river)
*Note - CB and CB antena are not included in the sale. I do have a Cobra magnet mount antena on the roof in 'ok' condition that I will include in the sale. High mileage service was done at 98,000ish miles w/ the previos owner.
This rig is built for the weekend camper/adventurer, and is proven in the backcounty of Utah. I've been on trips where we've logged 600+ all on dirt, with no mechanical issues.
I've had the CV's and boots replaced by the dealer for added piece of mind for long off road trips. This rig has not been thrashed, and has been well taken care of.
Known issues:
*Small crack in windshield below driver's field of view.
*Driver rear window motor non functioning.
*Pass. rear seatbelt recoil non functioning
*Radio antena does not move up or down
*Armrest on center console could be replaced.
All issues except the crack in the windshield, were like that when I bought the truck in May 08. I've just not had the time or care to fix them since they did not affect the way I use the vehicle.
