Ill get photos stat but in the mean time I was hoping for a starting point considering what's been done already. additionally I have an oil leak and it acts like the battery is dead after it's hot. I was just hoping to begin to get started on what I should do post purchase consisting the twenty Plus year age

i see... well with mine I did all the fluids and filters. plugs and wires. get a good tune up so it is running top notch then dive into it from there. I have all new ball joints sitting here waiting to be installed since the wear out over time.

"Heat soak" resulting in high resistance in the starter/solenoid or dirt/oil in starter solenoid face/contact plate???......it's got an oil leak and it's 20 years old.....

Try putting a relay into the cicuit to the starter slenoid feed and a short run of heavy wire direct from battery to solenoid via this new relay.

Maybe best to confirm the present problem when hot by feeding battery power direct to solenoid using a temporary jumper/feed wire.

Also fix the oil leak!!1......oil leaks attract dirt which attracts problems......use aerosol Electrical Contact Cleaner or even Brake Cleaner spray to clean up the electricals.

Great thanks. I thought that might be what's going on. I had a motorcycle that would do the same thing. Cleared it up with heavy gauge battery/starter cables. But I'm brand new to this power plant so I'm looking for direction.
