2 4runners from Cali to Moab, Colorado and Rubicon

Hi Guys, juts wanted to share a video I put together of my buddy and I's trip this past summer. We drove our 4runners from Sacramento to Moab, then to Telluride and back to California to run the Rubicon. We took 2 weeks to do this trip and had a blast! No tickets either! Dan did get close though...a 4runner on 40's with no mud flaps is quite the sight rolling down the freeway!

Dan took his son Tyler on the trip and my Dad rode his motorcycle to meet us for our stay in Moab. This was the first time either of us had been to Moab or to run any trails in Colorado. Didn't do Colorado justice and we'll have to go back; heavy rain and the lack of tops on either of our trucks drove us out. Only one night in a motel and only one meal in a restaurant...my Dad treated to both and it was a welcome indulgence.

Its a mix between pics and video. I hope you enjoy the music!

Thanks for sharing! I liked the "Ken Burns" pan and zoom technique on the stills. Looks like you got more than your share of rain on this trip!

Haha yes I am good friends with Ken Burns by now! We did get drenched! Moab it was fun to be rained on but by the time we got to Colorado it was old.

That was my dad sleeping under my truck while it was raining. He refused to get in the tent...haha!!!

Awesome video and trip! You could spend your whole life in either one of these states and not see it all.

Nice work, I enjoyed watching it. So, the video is 15 minutes long, 12 minutes are of the Moab area.:sombrero:

Colorado sucks when it's wet. It gets cold at night too-- if you're camping in wet weather here, it can get rather unpleasant. Not to mention getting covered with mud if you are in an open vehicle.
