OK feeling kinda stupid here! I have followed the manual and I have replaced the battery with the correct brand size. But I still can"t get the key fob to lock/unlock my rover. Not a big deal of course but I would like it to work! any feedback from people with similar problems?

did you press the button with the battery out?

if so you can re set it using the key turning settings Im pretty sure, you need the code 2 turns rear one front one rear etc,

infact just try pressing the open button a few times.

Sure did, pressed both just to be sure it was drained. I have bigger problems now, my drivers side window popped the geared piece off today when I put the window up. :Wow1:

lost, but making time
Hoping you still have the owner's manual, it is noted in there. If I recall correctly, after replacing the battery, you need to press the unlock side four times to get the car to pick up the code again and open the doors.

Yeah I still have the manual, and did every step noted.

Today I tried it all again by locking and waiting for the dash light to flash slow, then unlocked the door, centered the key in the lock and hit the button 4 times. The alarm then chirped twice, and then nothing happened since then, I am so confused why something so simple is not working.
