2" tube mount for cb antenna?

Hello,

I have a 2", well, 1.8" tube on my bumper and would like to mount my antenna there. All the mounts I can find are for 3" tubes. Does anyone know a source for a 2" diameter? I could cobble something together with u-bolts easy enough but i would like to avoid doing so.

Thanks

A piece of bar stock with a u-bolt will, be the easiest way. Or weld a tab on, this would also help with the needed grounding.

That's the most common I've seen because no one likes paying $45 for a billet clamp.

To take it one step further, you can use an exhaust clamp as it will come with the shaped metal piece and give you a flat surface to play with as well.

Coleman Racing rollbar brackets would be perfect. Here's a link to their 1.75" diameter bracket. It comes in other sizes too. Edit: Here's the link to the 2" brackets.

They are made out of anodized aluminum.

Exhaust clamps are what I use. One thing is to know is the stamped size is only a very loose reference. On my ARB bumper the tubes are 1-7/8" and the clamps stamped 1-3/4" work best, but not always depending on how well made the clamps might be (and some are not well made at all).

FYI...Coleman Racing has other models that have a larger flat surface too.

More fabrication involved, but another option are split shaft collars. Can get them from Mcmaster among others.

In the 1-7/8" size they range from $11 for black oxided steel to $71 for stainless steel.
These do look like much nicer options and FWIW the exhaust clamp solution is not great. The cheap ones rust badly and most of them tend to dig into the paint or powder coat and ruin it. So as time and money allow I have been remaking and converting my ARB tube mounts over to vibration damping pipe clamps, which are hard plastic with steel plates, also a McMaster available item.
