20 lb. Co2 tank, ugly but functional. No regulator, just a tank, with plastic handle. Aluminum tank, tare weight 25 pounds. $60

I'm sure you know, but you should be able to turn it into any welding gas supply shop and get your deposit back if it's up to code...

Hey thanks for the heads up! No, I didn't realize that there was a refundable deposit. The tank came out of my dad's shop, and all he said was he exchanged it at airgas. I sort of assumed it was like a blue rhino propane purchase/exchange. I'll check in with them. Thanks!

I called Airgas this morning. They said they don't refund deposits. So, the tank is still for sale!

I'm trying to buy a canoe this weekend... :snorkel: So if you're interested, shoot me an offer before Saturday and i may just take it!

Ten years ago Pepsi would let you have a tank with a $15 deposit, but that went away quickly... The Airgas tank is not owned by Airgas here, you buy and they fill it.


$60 is a good price for that tank BTW, if I was closer I would take it as another spare for my kegerator.

I think $60 is pretty fair... I have a 10lb. Powertank mounted in the truck, so this is my "spare air." If it doesn't sell by this weekend to help fund the canoe, I'll probably just keep it. I have an old bar fridge for sale on craigslist, too... Maybe there is a DIY kegerator in my future!
