I have no dog in this fight, just passing on what looks like an ok deal. I've been wanting to get a new, non-corroding battery for a while and decided this deal seemed good enough to spring for a new platinum so I can get rid of the old battery. The old diehard actually lasted a little more than five years with no problems other than the corrosion. I wanted to upsize to a bigger battery (I'm going from a 24F to a 35, which is actually downsizing), but the platinum 35s weigh more than a conventional 27F , so this might work out just fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good terminal clamp? The old one is shot, we'll see if Sears puts anything new on there for my extra "service fee".

Redtop in my wife's car died last week. Replaced it with the spare Diehard Platinum from my truck and bought a matching Diehard platinum to replace that one. They have been performing very well.

Just installed a group 65 in the Tacoma and had to replace the fuse box wire to short . Thanks for the heads up $190.00 out the door.

Awesome! I just bought Platinum Batteries for the Duramax! Now I know what I have and don't have to worry so much.
