Monumental day today while driving home from a turkey hunt, the 95 Tacoma turned over for the second time. 200,000 miles and still going strong.

Very nice and I like what you use your toyota for.

Cam-shaft,

I have to admit spring turkey hunting is more of an excuse to be out exploring the woods more than anything else. For some reason Turkey hunting and me just don't get along. I can kill 5-6 deer a year with the bow, call and shoot the craftiest waterfowl, but when it comes to Turkey's, they make me look stupid every time.
This weekend they were not Gobbling and I spent most of the mornings reading Edward Abbey's Desert Solitude for a second time.

You have to change your username to tacoma-augie now that the xj is gone. :). I too went from an xj to a yota

Question about your build. I just read your blog build page. When you got the molded vinyl floor, did you get the backing stuff with it? I have a 95 4runner and would love to do this to the floor. I have two kids and they track in more dirt than i do.

Wildcat,

Yep, I should change my username. I didn't use backing when I put the vinyl floor in and it has not seemed to have made that much of a difference. With the XJ I did add extra heat sheild under the carpet because the floor used to get really hot from the transmission. But has not been an issue with the tacoma. The floor was a real PITA to install, not sure if it was the fit not being correct or my lack of install skills, but it is far from show truck install, and works for me.
