Vehicle : 2000 Ford e350 7.3L Diy camper van
Miles : 261,XXX
Price $7,500
Location : Lexington, Kentucky

The price for $7,500 does not include the 300ah batteries and the redarc system.
It does include the solar and inverter and wiring of course.

This whole thing is DIY, so it’s not perfect and has its flaws. There are some finished touches that need to be made.
Furniture built out of 10 series extruded aluminum.
The bed converts into a couch to also be used as a desk for the 27’ computer monitor.

Electrical
  • -redarc manager 30
  • -redarc redvision
  • batteries (3)100ah Lithium battery power batteries so 300ah total
  • solar (3) 195w eco worthy solar panels 585w total
  • 3000w renogy inverter
    • This is mainly needed to power the dual burner induction cooktop on the side door

  • Maxxair 6200k fan
  • 27” Samsung ips computer monitor
  • (2) Jl audio speakers in ceiling that are paired with a subwoofer. The van doesn’t have a stereo but an amp powered by the inverter that can be connected by Bluetooth.
  • Independent RGB controlled led lights. One got disconnected, that’s why it’s off and will be fixed before sold.
  • 5kw diesel heater plumbed directly into fuel tank.
  • 24 gallon water tank that fits over the wheel well.
  • Water pump with accumulator
  • There is also a quick disconnect faucet right next to the redarc screen so that I can connect a hose and wash dishes outside
  • Pantry with table connected to side door.
  • Deadened the whole vehicle except front doors, all Insulated with havelock wool
  • I haven’t finished the interior too because I was planning on doing molle panel all on the sides, but then since it’s carpet, I was thinking of adding some Velcro to small bags and put them up there.

Mechanical
at 250,000Replaced glowplugs and upgraded glow plug relay, up pipes, along with front brakes, calipers and rotors.

At 255,000 Replaced water pump, lower radiator hose, converted to ELC, upgraded low pressure oil pump, belt, new transmission fluid, new rear diff oil.

Now for the bad
  • Needs a paint job badly
  • When I purchased the vehicle, I didn’t know it had a terrible leak on all 4 corners of the van top. It had the original ambulance interior, but I had to strip it all out due to rot.
  • I fixed the leaks on all 4 corners and resealed everything, but it definitely isn’t pretty. I later found that water was getting in through the lights, so I fixed that as well.
  • It has a black stick figure on the rear driver.
  • Also, behind the driver door is this weird side door. That was also rotted out. I played with the idea to remove the door and just cap it. Which I think I would do if I would repaint it. I just fixed all the rot and welded in some new metal which isn’t the cleanest. I only had black spray paint, so that’s why it looks like that.
  • I of course planned to paint the van and would clean all of that up before.
  • There is some minor rust on the rockers that would need to be cleaned up before paint as well.
  • The floor is also bad. I only had access to a peel and stick type and its in poor shape. The subfloor is fine, so I was thinking of cutting out the visible peel and stick floor and laying down luxury vinyl plank flooring.
  • AC needs to be recharged
  • It has a slight coolant leak only when the heat is running in the van. I never got to this because the heat was never the best, so I would just run the diesel heater when I needed heat.
  • The rear windows leak a bit during heavy rain. I have duct tape on top of the window to prevent further leaking. It is an easy fix, but I was planning on replacing them with windows that pop out to help with airflow. The popout windows can be found in junkyards, but I havent looked yet.
  • Brakes Squeal a bit, just need to be regressed
  • Steering is a bit loose and drifts to one side a bit, its common for these old vans to do so.
  • The headlights are fairly dim. And when they are on, every now and again while driving, it will ding like the lights were left on when the engine isnt on.
  • Tires are some basic all terrain tires that still have a lot of life in them. Only driven about 15k miles on them.

Reason for selling. I am in the overland community and this van is just too big. I am going to get a truck of some sort.

I’ll probably update this listing as I think of more things.
