2000 Ford Revcon on eBay

Annie and I looked at this beast last year when it was for sale in Palm Springs for $ 30,000. It had 10,000 miles on it then. Not a bad margin if it is. Buy it for $30,000 use it for a year and put on 10,000 miles and triple the price. I have lots of detail photos of this rig if anyone is interested in the eBay auction. We would have bought it if we could have imported it into Canada but we couldn't. We did steal some design idea for our own camper though.
RevCon has a very interesting history if you want to read up on it. I believe this was the owners personal camper and it sat in Mexico for many years in a shed.

When I am older and have millions of dollars I want to have a car collection of unique things like this!

Pretty neat.

It's a very cool rig and was definitely worth the $ 34,000 it was priced at last spring.
$ 90,000 not so sure.

None to merit the increase to that number. I build similar machines and am on 6. Since I've had this one it got lifted 2 more inches, new tires and gen rebuild. Because of this one I have deposits on 2 more and am currently in the hunt for low mile rvs without slides to convert to 4x4. To buy the Revcon is 90k. Otherwise I have 1 diesel Ambulance in the high 20s and a 28 foot Catalina ready to convert. Catalina will be 36k when complete.

So there's the answer ...

Uncompromise, thanks for asking the question. So I am not exactly sure what his answer was though. Is he using this as a marketing tool to sell other campers/ambulances? He said "because of this one I have deposits on 2 more...". As long as this seller isn't saying he had any hand in making this Revcon what it is. It was almost exactly as it sits when we drove in it last spring.
Oh, well, buyer beware I guess.

The only real drawback with these Revcons is (as you'd guess) the length. I drove one all over Death Valley and the surrounding neighborhood and there were numerous spots where the truck wouldn't go because of length.

I found that the build quality was very high, and everything regarding the interior layout was well thought-out. If this rig was closer to $40K, I'd buy it...

It was a complete non-answer. I guess he probably is saying that this is a marketing tool to sell other vehicles. No doubt some wealthy tech-Burner will buy it for Burning Man and consider it a great deal.

Sigh.

Last year would have put this rig to the 15 year mark, making it not applicable to the RIV program, should have had no issues importing this to Canada.
