Hi there, I havent post anything in a long time, but I got some recent updates that would like to share with you.
So I attempted to change the water pump in my Truck and I messed up the timing and I kill the cylinder heads, long story short, I had my heads rebuild by Reids Automotive, they also did a port and polish and a valve job, I ported the exhaust manifold to match the head.
In case you were wondering NO I am not doing the work myself, I am having a shop do it and all original mitsu parts are being used.
I was wondering what HP increase would I expect from this mods?, I am also planing on a full exhaust, air intake, and MSD, what kind of gains would I have with all this?

Also I been reading about swapping the Mitsubishi Diamante intake manifold, It appears that is a direct bolt on but I have not seen it done in monteros.

Thanks

Not sure what type of gain you will see. Too bad we don't have a dyno sheet from it before the mods. I'm guessing you wont see to all that much untill you match the exhaust. Keep in mind you have two cat converters to blow through as well. Matching the manifolds is a good idea though, and with the shop doing the internal port to the heads you might see something. Guys who have upgraded to the RPW headers report little to no gain, but those guys are probably not running ported heads either. As far as the intake goes, since the diamante engine is transverse mounted your throttle body will face the wrong if you swap that in. Not a show stopper but something to think about.
