2002 Nissan Xterra

Hello,

I have been creeping around and reading posts of all sorts. I love the idea of overland expedition and that is my ultimate goal with this Xterra.

I have owned the car for a few years and have not done much till lately.

This is how the Xterra looked from day one. In this picture though I had done the PML. In this picture it looks like it has the Cali Lift (prerunner look). In actuality it was even front and rear.

A friend (at the time) and my Xterra up in the forests surrounding the Olympic Pennisula in Washington State.

For Father's Day my wife bought me a LED light bar. I went ahead and mounted it on bumper reinforcement since I was no longer running the factory plastic bumper. You can also see the new tires I have recently installed, Cooper Discoverer STT PRO in 265/75/16

Backing up at night or in darker areas has always been an issue with the Xterra mostly in part due to the ****ty reverse lights and privacy glass. So I went ahead and installed the LED 2x2 pods in the rear bumper. The first cut was the best. In my measuring of the light and marking the bumper I forgot about the curvature of the bumper. So my first cut was a little off and needed some custom fitting. On the 2nd cut I added a 1/4 to the bottom measurement. Ooops, there is now a gap at the bottom of the second cut.

Both lights installed. If you look closely you can see the gap under the passenger side LED light.

There is are plans in the works to level out the truck as I recently added sway away torsion bars.

Future Mods:
Bilstein shocks
upgraded brakes
Stainless steel lines
GPS unit
Comms

I am sure there are more mods I could list but I am drawing a blank right now.

Very nice truck, sir! Putting those lights in the back was a bright idea ;)

Zing!

Welcome to the forum. You don't see many 1st Gens in blue, I love that color.

Where did you live in WA? I try to make it out to the Olympic Peninsula almost every weekend, I love it out there.
