Hey all,
Its time for me to move onto another, larger vehicle, to incorporate more of the family and allow for a little more space for overlanding. The vehicle is well maintained and serviced appropriately. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this vehicle across the country as it's mechanically sound and works very well as a daily.
Here are some specs on the vehicle. Its been with me since 50K miles and the lift was put on then.
2003 Wrangler Rubicon
94K miles
All synthetic fluids run since I obtained it as well as from the original owner who was from CT.
4" Rough Country Springs with control arms
4 new Bilstein 5100 shocks with less than 500 miles on them
Hi/low locker mod to allow locking front and rear in any gear and transfer case position
(4) 285/75r16 Treadwright Guardians with 65% of tread left-spare is bare although I do have a tire I could throw on.
Plasticoated stock Rubi wheels with some rash from being off road
Front bumper is stock although I did weld a brush hoop to it.
Interior has a custom made center console above and in between the seats with switches for emergency yellow lights on the rear of the jeep. Three switches are not hooked up right now. There is two openings for a CB and scanner. Also a mount for the CB mic.
Hardtop and Softtop. Rear window on soft top has a hard time with zipping but is an easy fix.
Custom made rear bumper with 2" receiver hitch.
Vehicle is wired for a winch on the front and comes with a winch plate. I just never got around to installing my winch once I found out the solenoid pack was bad and needed to be replaced.
Rear has 2 guage wire ready for any stereo choice you may want. It'll power them all. 50 amp fuse under the hood.
5.25 Kenwood upgrade in front dash with wiring to a 4 channel amp in the rear. 6.5" rear sound bar upgraded and running off amp as well. Very clean power.
Can include additional amp and 10" Kicker sub for the rear if thats what the buyer wants.
Kenwood deck in the dash. Manual on off mod to ensure you can run it while the vehicle is off and not have to use the accessory channel for power.
New front tie rod replaced today with a ZJ V8 one for greater strength
New front wheel bearings on both sides less than 6 months old
New windshield less than 1 week old
New Balljoints less than 3 months old
New steering stabilizer less than a year old
New u-joints in both driveshafts less than a year old
New u-joints in front axles shafts less than a year old
I generally drive about 8K a year which is not really a lot. The vehicle has always performed flawlessly and never has any issues that would make me cringe.
Bad:
Only thing that I would suggest buying is a motor mount lift as I could never bring myself to using the tranfer case drop that came with the lift as it killed the clearance. There is a small driveline vibe at 40 due to the lift. The TC drop is included in the sale as well as the stock rubicon springs if you'd like to sell those off or go back to stock.
I am bringing in the vehicle to have the transfer case seal replaced on Friday. I've kept the level right but I can see signs of leaking so I figured I'll just get it taken care of now before any issues arise.
I have another set of 15x8" Ultra wheels that have been painted black. They will go with the sale as well.
I'm probably missing some items but this vehicle is set up nice and mild to allow for great wheeling ability as well as good on road manners.
I've priced it to sell and am willing to travel a bit to get the deal done. I own the vehicle and have keys in hand.
I can be reached by PM here or by cell at 2o7-956-o399 or reply to the thread for questions or sales.
Image is of it on 35's that I had for wheeling. Those are the Ultras in this pic. Ill get the current setup posted tomorrow during daylight.
EDIT: Found a pic of it now with the treadwrights:
