2004 4Runner - what kind of transfer case?

Hello guys, there is a 2004 V6 4 runner for sale 5 hours Away from me that need engine work at an attractive price.

I am consider it as a base for a mild overland build.

I am mechanically proficient enough to tackle the engine stuff.

I was wondering what kind of Transfer case these things got? Did they all get the same 4wd system?

Any reason to avoid this vehicle as a starting point?
