2005 Ford E350 Sportsmobile 4x4 – “Vanlife” Without the Hashtags – $80,000(Boulder, CO)
Tired of scrolling past overpriced Sprinters with fairy lights, big screen TVs, microwaves and their very own instagram account? Same.
Meet this no-nonsense, overbuilt, under-used 2005 Ford E350 Sportsmobile 4x4. It’s diesel. It’s real 4WD. It’s got a pop-top. It does not have a Pinterest board.
Quick Stats for the TL;DR crowd:
2005 Ford E350 Sportsmobile
Quigley 4x4 conversion
6.0L Power Stroke diesel (yes, it’s bulletproofed, calm down keyboard warriors)
102,000 miles – barely broken in for a diesel
Located in Boulder, CO
Free and clear title – no banks, no weird PayPal scams
What it does have:
Sportsmobile with pop-top: Sleeps four (maybe 5). Two in the bed above. Two in the fold out couch, impress your friends, intimidate Subaru owners
Alumeness bumpers + ladder: For when you need to climb up and shout “SEND IT” at trailheads
Agile Offroad suspension + Fox shocks: Smooths out the washboards and the existential dread
Method Race Wheels: Because stock wheels are for mall crawlers
Carr footsteps: You could vault into the cab like a Navy SEAL, or you could just use the steps
Custom interior with durable carpet, no plumbing – Because nothing says “high maintenance” like a leaky greywater tank in the middle of Utah
Fiamma F45 awning: For shade while you put off doing anything again
Thule roof rack + OneUp bike racks: Shuttle runs anyone?
Custom rear metal storage: Holds everything from tools to crushed dreams
Tow package with trailer brakes: Bring your toys, tow your buddy’s broken Sprinter
What it doesn’t have:
Little framed inspirational signs
An indoor shower so small you cry in it
Plumbing (on purpose – this rig was simplified for ease of use and low maintenance)
Fake vanlife nonsense. This thing is built to go do stuff, not just look like you do stuff
Why am I selling it?
I thought I’d be using it as a rugged basecamp for epic adventures. Turns out I used it mostly to nap at bike races and store snacks. Someone else should take it out and actually live the dream (or at least get it dusty again).
Comes with:
📂 A fat folder of receipts for the build, engine work, and upgrades
📸 More pics or videos on request
✈️ Out of state? Fly into Denver, pick it up, and make the drive home your first legendary boondocking story.
Searchbait for the algorithm:
Vanlife, overlanding, 4x4 camper van, off-grid rig, diesel adventure van, boondocking, mountain biking van, dirtbag dream machine, E350 camper, no-BS vanlife
If you're ready to skip the fluff and drive something that can actually get out there and back, shoot me a message. Or don’t. But this thing probably won’t last long.
