2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited LJ
Restored Title, decent build with a cage, lockers, gears, armor, etc, newer tires, runs like a champ
Located in Phx/Mesa
This is the rare (2004-2006), longer version of the TJ that offers great stability and more practical usability. Specifically it is 15" longer - 2" behind the front seat for more rear legroom, 13" behind the rear seat for more cargo space and 10" of added wheelbase (103.4" = perfect for off-roading).
It was purchased with a salvaged title two & 1/2 years back and then built to what you see today. It looks clean at a distance, but it does have some bumps and bruises, so if you are looking for a show car new mall queen - this is not the Jeep for you.
If you are looking for something well-built and trail ready at an amazing price - look no further.
Reliable 4.0 with the fun to drive six speed manual. No check engine lights, passes smog easily.
Upgrades Include:
Rock Crawler 3.5" lift
New G2 Dana 44 Front Axle
Additional axle truss on front axle
1 ton TREs steering upgrade
Drilled & Slotted rotors
4.88 Gears front and rear
OX Selectable (cable) lockers front and rear
OX diff bash guards front and rear
Practically new 35" MTRs
Rock crawler black faux beadlock rims w/ matching spare
Slip Yoke Eliminator
Novak shifter cable upgrade
Aftermarket belly pan skid plate
Currie boat side style rock sliders
Aluminum high line front fenders
Badlands 12,000 lb Winch
Custom rear LED taillights and front LED spotlights
Custom front roll cage extension (welded on front legs, center split reinforcement, built in grab handlers) offering significant strength and safety improvements
Both hard and soft tops, and both hard and soft doors. The hard top is imperfect but the soft is the nicer Bestop.
Issues:
This was built as a "knock around" jeep and some of the original damage (tipped on it's side) is still visible (looks good from 15 feet, but on close inspection you can find scratches on the windshield frame and door - pictured)
The hard top's repair wasn't perfect as it has a small gap in the rear (pictured) and I never replaced the glass struts (glass is new).
The soft top has a small 1" cut, and is a little dirty.
Typical TJ drip or two coming off the oil pan, tiny bit of seepage on the front diff guard.
Pros:
Ice Cold AC, very hot heater, decent little stereo w/ the overhead speakers, cruise and all accessories work.
Jeep runs great and can wheel with rigs priced 2 to 3 times as high.
Priced at$11,750 Now $10,900!
This is less than what is in the upgrades. I believe this makes it the lowest priced LJ in the Southwest, and definitely lower than any that are comparably built - you are basically buying some cool Jeep upgrades and getting a free LJ Jeep to drive them home in : )
