The Overland Journal editor's project motorcycle is now complete, and for sale. This 2005 Suzuki DR650SE has 9,774 miles on it. Bike runs great, but does have one known electrical gremlin - believed to be related to the clutch safety mechanism, which could be disconnected. Also, the white plastics on the sides were marred from using soft panniers, so we replaced them with brand-new black plastics. The mods are detailed in the Spring 2010 issue of Overland Journal):
No luggage/panniers will be included with the motorcycle. We will include the stock Continental Trail Wing tires, as well as the stock 3.5-gallon fuel tank. For pickup at the Overland Journal office in Prescott, AZ, or you can take delivery of it at the Overland Expo near Tucson in April. - Aluminum skid plate
- Easton handlebars
- Rigid LED lights
- Acerbis handguards
