2005+ Tacoma front wheel bearings

I was wondering who has replaced your factory front wheel bearings and mileage it was done. I have 80k on the my truck and my front wheel bearing is growling at me just seems to soon.

This is a very well-documented problem on the 05+ Tacomas. I did mine preventatively at 100k. Here's a good writeup from TTORA: http://www.ttora.com/forum/showthread.php?t=168601

If you want to save yourself the headache of having to press the bearing/hub assemblies apart (or taking them somewhere to have it done), there are a few guys on TacomaWorld that sell fully-assembled hub/bearing assemblies that make the job much easier. With a set of those, the entire job could be knocked out in a couple hours. I haven't purchased from either of them, but when it comes time to do the bearings again at 200k I will definitely have an extra set on hand ahead of time.
