It's been around, that's for sure. It's a salvage title for one. I bought it about four years ago and rebuilt it enough to wheel it and daily drive it.
I thought I would get into the crawling more than I did, and for the last year it has just mainly sat around and been the third vehicle, or the one we take skiing on days the canyons are really snowy. It's white, except where it's black. I have motorcycles now that I always choose for trail fun, and a lifted van for camping, so the Jeep doesn't really have a place in our stable anymore. Other than we like it. Heh!

A buyer who rebuilds a damaged salvage title vehicle can have a clean title restored. Salvage title vehicles are difficult to insure and generally cannot be registered or driven on public roads without a "clean" title.

139,633 miles on it today.
The title is now considered "rebuilt" by Utah, and I completed the work and had it inspected originally in Michigan.
No problems insuring it since I have owned it.
As far as I know, at least in the states I have lived, it cannot be converted back to a "clean" title. Other states may vary.

FWIW, when I bought it, it looked like it had been driven into a ditch. It was pretty clean, other than the broken windshield, bent hood, fender, bumper and control arms, torn off axle, broken transfer case, bent driveshafts...
I replaced what I could with parts I could find at the time and rebuilt the mounts for damaged suspension bits.

Not true. This is totally dependent on the state. Some states make it super easy, like CA. Some are harder.

Right, so I am not firm on the price. If you are shopping for a Rubicon, and it hasn't got to be real shiny, we should talk.
I could be way off base on the price. Maybe it's worth far less. Let's deal!
If I still have it when it's time to jump ship, I will trade it in, and we all know what happens then. It goes for practically nothing. I don't have the room or inclination to part it out.
