Run extremely strong and gets 18-20mpg on the highway.
2005+ is the best year to buy the V8 (It has a 5 speed automatic and more HP/TQ)
FJ Cruiser wheels with General Grabber AT2 tires with 80% tread left.
Timing belt and water pump replace at 126k miles. (Preventive maintenance).
Oil was just changed at 146k miles.
Front and rear Brake pads and rotors just replaced at 145k miles.
New Battery 130k.
Bilstein 5100s front and rear.
Upgraded head unit with blue tooth and ipod hookup. (Works with steering wheel).
Hella 700 spot lights.
CBI light mounts and LED flood lights.
Tinted windows.
Heated Seats work great.
Dual climate control.
Center Locking Differential.
Leather interior.
Not so good.
The paint is starting to oxidize on the plastic parts (Grill and bumper covers).
The side panels have some light scratches from some offroad excursions.
AJ's Auto Detailing said they could bring the paint back to life and remove 95% of the scratches with compound and polish.
There is a slight shake in the steering wheel at 60-70mph. I am pretty sure it is caused by a wheel weight that went missing on my last offroad excursion.
