$4300. This is an awesome dual sport motorcycle with only 7600 miles on it at the time of posting. If you're not familiar with the SM (supermoto) version, it's based on the robust Suzuki 400 S but with 17" Excel wheels, bigger front brake, Renthal tapered bars, and inverted forks like a sportbike.
This particular one is essentially stock but with a few very desirable improvements:
- Corbin seat (the stock Suzuki seat was like sitting on a 2x4)
- Infinitely adjustable lowering links
- Almost new Avon Distanzia tires with tubes in them so you can air way down for offroad riding
- ThumperTalk engine side cover protectors
- Rugged Rider rear rack
The seat height is much more reasonable than the usual dual sport, thanks to the lowering links and the Corbin seat. But the links are adjustable so you can set the height to whatever suits you. The kickstand has been shortened to match. The engine side cover protectors are very useful because Suzuki used very thin magnesium to keep weight low. The covers help keep the engine side covers from being punctured by the shift lever or brake lever.
This bike is not a garage queen. It has been used as an adventure bike, loaded with camping gear, and has been offroad at Metcalf and Clear Creek. It has been ridden in the rain and through muddy streams. But apart from the non-pristine plastic and scratched paint on the exhaust (which you might want to replace with an aftermarket unit anyway), it looks and runs as you'd expect from a Suzuki with only 7600 miles on it. Fill it with gas, load up your gear, and ride pretty much wherever you want.
