i tried searching and didnt really find anything but maybe one of you guys can help me.
Ive got a 2008 tacoma with a 3" spacer lift and an add-a-leaf in the rear (rear is higher than front). my stock shocks have been blown for a while and i kept putting off replacing them until a suspension shop i deal with through work told me he would get me a set of bilstein 5100's installed for a decent price so i jumped on it.
when i went to pick the truck up the mechanic told me theres a little bump coming from the rear end whenever you go over a big dip in the road but no big deal. after driving about 20 feet i noticed that whenever i drive over a pothole/manhole cover/dip in the road there is a loud bang from the right rear of the truck and the rear end feels like it is being yanked towards the pavement.
The guy is telling me its my problem and wont fix it as i paid the cash price (without knowing it?) which means no warranty or anything.
any ideas as to what i can do to fix this? its only the right rear and the mechanic is telling me the 5100's were the same length as the stock shocks he pulled out of the truck. i had the bent/blown stock shocks in the truck for 3 years with the lift and besides the rear being really stiff it drove decent.
thanks in advance for any help.
