It's ok, but still has poor visibility and I think the wheelbase is too long. But if I saw one with a bobbed flat bed, I might fall in love. ;)

I'd love to see that, picturing it I could imagine trhat being a pretty cool paltform to do that to eh. This doesn't mean I like the trucks ;) , just think that would be a neat custom jobby to see out on the trail.

I saw a TV commercial for this truck recently and I could not help but think, wow the first Hummer than actually seems appealing. It could definitely make a nice truck if kitted out appropriately.

Check out the Australian 4WD forum. There is a lot of H3 offroad experience down under now and some pretty good reference stuff. The biggest complaints I've seen so far, all in reference to the regular H3 not this truck style one; fuel tank too small, not enough storage space, tow rings are useless (not beefy enough).

No diesel? Not the right package.

So everything without a diesel isnt up to snuff for you, huh?

anyway, it will be available with frnt and rear lockers as well. And yes, apparently a V8. I think this could be a sweet truck to start with.

While these are not my most favorite rigs in the world, I can objectively say that if the H3T Adventure is anything like the std. H3 Adventure it'll be a good truck right out of the box.

I don't have 1st hand experience on pricing for 4 dr pickups but $38k for the H3T Adventure with very few options is a lot of coin to me.

I wish they'd remarket these things as jeep alternatives instead of having 3/4 of the accessories in useless chrome bling. My guess is that Hummer is gonna go the way of Oldsmobile within 3 - 5 years.

At least they're trying to market to the offroad crowd. :)

Market to the offroad crowd: Hummer always has done so, but in order to sell enough units, the bling/mall crowd gets to buy them too (just like ALL other brands). But a Hummer dealer (yes, aware that was in the past) had to offer 2 offhighway customer events per year. Also they had to build demotracks, a little more involved than the LR ones. There are several driving academys at AMG, for the different models one can sign up to.... (all about offhighway, the testrack, the woods, the Silverlake dunes, techschool, recovery, fieldfirstaid.) The same facilities are used to train soldiers also.

Your average Chevy 2009 Siverrado LT 4x4 4 door pickup is base around $34.5K
Your toyota Tundra 4x4 4 door is 36K+
Your for F150 xlt 4x4 4 door is 32+K
Your Escape Ford hybird is 30K

SO the H3T isnt that far off. They where pusing the 3t sunday during the football games.

I LOVE the slant back bed capper in some of the ads...although I could see how it could eat up a lot of useful room, but still cool. A diesel version would be awesome, correct: its not much more than other new rigs, and some of the available options could make this very capable. As for the mall crawler bits of chrome...ebay. I see incredible amounts of Rubicons with 22 inch rims and nitto mud grapplers riding around all spick and span as well, so the bling factor is not a valid argument to me....outfit it to ones own liking.
