No offense to any Hummer drivers with the decal. Got it to mess with my H3 driving friend.

Thanks for looking and I welcome any suggestions on the parts I will be ordering soon.

when i did my deaver AAL, i pulled the rear sway. it flexes out way more than before when i could lift a rear tire just about anywhere i wanted. i haven't been able to get a rear tire light enough that the e-lsd couldn't sort it out since.

If you're not on there already, check out newx.org - chock full of info about the 2nd gens.

With all the armor you've got going you're probably going to sag out the front suspension pretty quickly. When you do talk to Greg at PRG about upgrading your front coilovers. If the Deaver wears out you can go with Alcans that are properly set up for the load you'll be carrying.

Aside from that, you're doing it right.

I've been posting over there for a while, I just don't reply to many topics. Same screen name. I think I've seen you over there. Its good to see other newx members on here.

I almost went with PRG for the front suspension but instead I went with adjustable Bilsteins and AC coils. So far I'm really impressed. I measured it after I installed my armor and the front didn't sag at all. Plus, the rides pretty good and I have minimal coil bucket contact. I talked with Greg about the Alcans and he didn't recommend them until I wear out my stock leaf packs. Ill probably get the 700lb Alcan packs eventually. I'm also eventually going to install PRG UCAs sometime in the future, its just not one of my more immediate priorities right now.

Thanks for the comments.

nice setup. I had the AC coils on Titan Bilsteins for a couple months, the ride was really rough, then swaped over to PRG RadFlos tuned with the heavier coils for the winch, armor and bumper up front. it has been on for almost a year now, with about 1/2" sag. but the ride has just gotten that much smoother. As for the rear, I added the 3 leaf pack from AC with HD 1.5" longer shackles. gives about 4.5" of lift but you can carry a ton with minimal sag and maintain ride quality. may be worth looking into the add a leafs before you go all out with Deaver.

Yep - I thought I recognized you, so that's all cool. I agree with Greg, too. No sense replacing anything until everything starts to fail. I've noticed that I bottom out over speed bumps now (we've got some bigger ones here) so I may need to look into this in the near future. However, until I get fully armored and have a better idea of what I'm carrying I'm not about to call Alcan.

How do you like the MTs?

I like them a lot. A few weeks ago I went to the Pine Barrens, NJ with a friend driving a Hummer H3 on 35' Goodyear Duratracs. I ended up getting through the mud alot better despite the smaller tires. Granted they are more agressive, but I felt they did quite well for a vehicle on open diffs.

The road noise is noticeable but not distracting. The only thing I dont like is the weight, which if I recall correctly is a little over 60lbs a piece. But, they are also E load rated so I don't think they will have a problem with punctures. They only have 5000 miles on them, but there isn't any noticeable tread wear.

I'm planning on buying another set when these wear out.

Over the weekend I painted my wheels, roof rack, and grille flat black. When I did my roof rack I left the stock Xterra decal on, then peeled it off after the paint dried, leaving silver Xterra lettering. I think it turned out pretty well. I didn't like all the silver at all.

Also got my Nxrocks skid plates and Ballistic Fabrication differential cover in. I am very pleased with the quality of both. Painting my other things took longer than expected so hopefully I will have a chance this weekend to paint these. I will be using Por15 on them.

Lastly I ordered my CB radio yesterday mainly consisting of a Midland 1001LWX radio and a 4ft Firestik on a heavy spring and quick disconnect. Also ordered a Superwinch LP8500 today so I will have alot of installing to do soon. :bike_rider:
