Looks like Tacoma prices are staying about the same in 2011. Cheapest
Tacoma is Regular Cab 4x2 with a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine and five-speed
manual transmission ($16,365). Add $11,000 for the top of the line double cab
4x4 with V6.

It also appears that no major new equipment is available in 2011.
The 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder engines continue, and all models are
built with air conditioning (I think).

Standard on all Tacomas are Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Vehicle
Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC) and Automatic Limited-slip
(Auto-LSD) which uses the brakes to reduce tire slip.

Why wasn't it restyled to match the 4Runner? How long are they gonna stick with the organic 90s jellybean styling?

Hey now, I like the "jellybean" styling of the Tacoma and the Tundra. I do not think it is 90's, it is more 2000's.

The new 4Runner has good style, bring on the 2010's.

I would think the Tacoma will get a redesign around 2013/2014. Hopefully at that point we will just get the Hilux.

Toyota's press release (link is in 1st post above) says the grill of some
models has changed. I suspect the change is inspired by the bulging
codpiece front end of the 4Runner.

The 5th Gen 4Runner looks a lot like the 3rd gen. Which is a good thing because the 4th gen Runner looks horrible.. almost GMC Acadia horrible..

That is NOT a jellybean style. That thing has definite lines and tries to maintain as much horizontal space at the roof top without causing the tendency of a square design to become a squat parallelogram in a rollover accident. I don't remember the 90's design of cars exactly, so I'm going to use the examples of the Honda CVR made in the last two or three years, where they round off the roof top and take away as much sidewall carrying capacity without customers realizing what's happening to car sizes over time.

But I myself prefer the FSJ design.
