Starts with any Tacoma V6 Access Cab or Double Cab model,
4x4 or Pre-Runner.

T/X package adds
-- off-road tuned springs
-- bilstein shocks
-- hill start assist
-- hill descent assist
-- electric locking rear differential
-- A-TRAC electronic traction aids
-- BF Goodrich 265/70R16 Rugged Trail tires
-- alloy "faux bead lock" wheels
-- engine skid plate
-- sport seats
-- fancy stereo

T/X Pro adds
-- tuned exhaust
-- paint and graphics

T/X package adds $1699, which is a savings compared to purchasing
all the above separately.

I think the T/X Pro exhaust costs $1699 more.

Add more junk with no functional advantage to a package that most will remove almost entirely (except the locker)? No thanks. Heck, I'm starting to wish I got a base model and just put a locker in it myself.

I've been lookng at one of those trucks at a local dealer. I agree with the previous poster's about just buying a base model. Throw in some arb lockers, functional skids, and maybe some corbeau seats! I really like those new trd wheels tho!

No way.

I have an off-road which is what the new TX packages add on to. I have used all the electronic bells and whistles which come with my OR package and am glad I have them when needed. Heck I put sliders and different wheels on my truck. The TX is not much different than what the Rugged Trails package was a few years ago. The rugged trails had different wheels (also FJ wheels like the current TX), different graphics, and a few other non-functional items. It isn't like Toyota is only offering the TX package and nothing else. I believe they even offer it for prerunner OR's. Some of it is just for show but then there are people who do only mall crawling. To each their own. There are other choices. If anyone gets the TX and doesn't want the wheels I'd be glad to trade or buy them from said person.

It looks nice, but why do they leave the craptastic Rugged Trails on it. Heck, it ought to at least come with the supercharger as standard equipment.
