2011 up jk owners gadget mount recommendation

I just bought the new rugged ridge dash mount for ram mounts and cameras. Its awesome. Works as advertised, is inexpensive and has a camera mount built in as well as the 1 in ball for ram arms. Worth looking at if mounting of GPS and tablets are needed.

I have the same one for my 2009 that I have RAM Mounts on... Works wonderfully

But I do like the look.functionality of that bar. How heavy is it?

I have the shorter version. It is not that heavy. It is 1"tubing.

I have the long version, its like 3 lbs. Totally negligible. I mounted my Nexus 4 (phone) with an X mount and a handheld ham in a builder bracket I bought from another ExPo member for a trip to Moab a few weeks ago. We ran Hells Revenge and Fins and Things before going south into the backcountry exploring and was very pleased with how everything mounted up on the Vector dash bar. I still will probably fiddle with where I placed my ram mounts but it kept things where I put them. I also plan to hang a Nexus 7 tablet off the front of the bar (hanging in front of the radio) and have no doubt that it can handle the weight.
