Per the title, looking to understand if anyone has installed a Front Runner Slimline 2 on the newer WK2 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Product code on their site is KRJG004T.

You may want to contact Chris at Front Runner America....I have been trying to get one of their racks for my WK with no luck.

I'm about to pull the trigger on one of these for my WK2. I was looking hard at the Rhino Rack setup (essentially the same size), but I like the way that the Front Runner mounts better.

I have their rack on my '12 JKR and am interested in a rack for my '14 Overland. Being able to use some of the same accessories would be nice, especially the stainless steel table that mounts under the rack on my JK.

Fedex say that my Front Runner rack kit should be arriving on Thursday. :friday:

:wings::jump: Post pictures and thoughts when you can. The more I think about this, the more I realize I probably need to pick it up sooner due to our kayaks. Either that or I waste $150 on the Jeep crossbars...... Plus the possibility of a Roof Top Tent would probably make the odds of spending more than 1 night in the woods a greater reality with the other half.

I'm buy this primarily to use with a rooftop tent, and I ordered the Front Runner tent mount kit with the rack. It'd also be great for carrying some fuel for the bike (probably in the form of Rotopax), depending how much space is left over.

I had an African Outback tent on my LR3 on stock crossbars, and while the tent was great, I was limited on how the tent could be mounted. A good rack should give me more flexibility.

I've been keeping an eye out on the classifieds section, but I'll probably go with a new Tepui or CVT unless something compelling shows up.

I have never liked them either until I test drove a 2014 WK2 with one. It provides so much more natural light into the interior. Plus my daughter loves to look up through it and checkout the stars at night and the cloud formations when we are on the road.

One downside of the roof rack is that it attenuates the signal to the XM antenna. It's still usable (and I use it all the time), but it cuts out under some bridges where it didn't without the roof rack.
