Looks like the 2012 Grand Cherokee Laredo gets a $3000 price cut, compared to 2011. This despite an upgrade to a 6 speed automatic, replacing a 5 speed unit. The Laredo 4x4 starts at $28,995 for 2012. Last year, the base price was $32,215.
More good news: The base price of the Wrangler stays about the same, even though the engine has been upgraded to a more powerful V6. The 6 speed manual continues as the base transmission for the Wrangler.
