I'm about to start building rear storage drawers in my 2013 JKUR. Does anyone have any advice? The plans I work up in sketchup are below.

I always find it useful to first determine what I'm storing, how easily I'll need to access it, and if I actually need hard sided storage.

Btw... Do your windshield washers work ok with that jack mount? I did that on my 05 and it sucked.

They still work, just not as well. I'm probably going to end up relocating the nozzles with the warrior products kit.

My goal is to make a second section that extends to the rear of the front seats to create a sleeping platform with additional storage. My plan is to make that section in two pieces so I can still use the one of the back seats if needed.

Is the weight and volume of those wooden boxes and drawers a better option than two (or four) similar sized plastic boxes? Also, do these drawers allow access to the under floor storage are and easy access to your Jack? I have had drawer systems, similar to your design, in several work vehicle and although easy access to this and that in the drawer has been convenient, when I needed something from under or around the main box the setup was a big pain in the ***.

The weight is about 60 pounds. I tried plastic boxes, but they cracked in the cold.

Underfloor storage is blocked. The drawers can be removed, but it is a PITA. In my case, it is not an issue as I have two batteries and the solenoid box for my rear winch under there, so the space is full.

The jack area is fully accessible, the drawers are set in due to the tailgates latch "bump" area, and that leaves the jack area in the clear. The right side houses a 120V inverter, 12v socket and rear winch connector. Left side has just enough space for a Sven saw and machete.

I did, at one pint, have the top hinged to lift up for easier access, but ended up screwing it down - once the welder and fridge are in there, there is no point.

I really like it - everything is stowed safely, but easy to get at, and I can fold down the rear seats and make a sleeping platform in a few seconds. (The Fridge, welder, etc are moved to a small trailer if I am sleeping in the Jeep so they are out of the way.)

Glad you've thought it all out. I have had a love/hate relationship with the Truck-vaults I have had installed in a couple of work rigs. My issue is security for items inside and now I am running a Tuffy security vault with the hinged top. It is smaller than the Truck-vaults I have had previously but at least I can get it out to access my radio box, and lower my spare, get the jack handle, etc.
