2013 JKUR Ordered!!

Hello everyone, I have been lurking here for a wile now and insanely jealous of you all and your very cool jeeps. I have not been a stranger to off roading just more on two wheels.:bike_rider: Now that my wife and I have a two-year-old baby girl the bike felt a bit selfish because it was just I going on adventure trips. Well… I sold my 2009 BMW R1200 GSA and now we are pleased to announce that our new arrival to our growing family should be here by the end of April! Hopefully…

We ordered a 2013 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited in Commando Green!! :wings::wings::wings:
-Body color 3-piece hard top
-Black fender flairs
-Connectivity Group
-4.10 rear axle ratio
-Max tow package
-Remote start
-Auto Trans
-Nav

We have been saving for this truck for some time now because it will be a weekend/family adventure Jeep that will not be a DD. I am happy about this because I drive 51 miles each way to work so this Jeep will stay nice and the winter Michigan salt will stay off. I will post some before and after pics as soon as the truck gets here. We are going to start off the build with the AEV JK350 package, which I am very excited about!! I love the look and this will be perfect for our trip to Moab and Telluride this summer. I love the 37’s that some of you have and I really want to go that route but my brain is saying 35’s so I don’t have to re-gear the 4.10 and for the long trips 35’s might work better. I would love to here your feedback on this area but most of all just happy to be joining this group!!

I too just picked up the '13 Rubi Unlimited. You will love this car. It's just so damn capable as it comes that it really does blow me away every time I get behind the wheel.

Almost the exact same package too but I decided to forego Nav and command start, and don't have the body color hard top (I went with Black so the standard hard top is 'close enough', just not glossy.

I just picked up a commando green "sport s" JKUR last weekend. We love it. Looking forward to seeing yours with the painted to match top. How long did they say until delivery? I don't know if they have a production cycle going right now...

Thank you all!! I got an e-mail yesterday and it said "Your new jeep is scheduled for production" it did not say a date but that it could reside in this status for up to two weeks. Will see but it sounds like its moving along, kinda cool to get e-mail updates!

The 35s look great, but I would suggest you spend 3-6 months driving it stock before you jump into any major modifications. The new Rubicons are very capable. Driving it stock for a while will give you a better feel for what changes are needed to suit your usage.

Congrats on the purchase. The waiting is the hardest part.

Congrats Rob. I picked up my 2013 JKUR (White with black top) on 3/5; ordered it on 1/29. Awesome rig. If you want more info on estimated ship dates call 1-877-IAM-JEEP. With your VOTS # or VIN they will give you estimated production completion and shipping dates. Be warned, however, in some ways it only adds to the agony of waiting.

Our is also an extra vehicle and not a DD. I intend to go with 35s and most likely the AEV 2.5.

i picked up a 2012 AEV JKUR with the 350 package and 35's and it drives great. the handling is crisp, body roll a minimum and the lift and tires give it the perfect look IMO. 37's can be more trouble than they are worth when it comes to wear and tear and re-gearing. 35's with the 3.6 and 4:10's is just about perfect.

Congrats! Ordered my JKUR on Sunday! Billet with black top and fenders, 4.10 gears, heated seats and connectivity group. Not much else. Have some mild expo mods planned, probably AEV 2.5" lift and maybe 34s and bumpers. Been planning this for a while and finally could not hold off any longer with summer around the corner.

We have 2 boys under 4 years old so I figure it will see lots of use.

I have always wanted a BMW GS Adventure. I actual have a model of one in my office. Had a Suzuki DR650 for years and loved it. Half of a GS 1200! LOL.

Wahooooo!! its at the dealer as of yesterday so I'm stopping by to see it tonight after work!! :wings::wings::wings: I'll post some pics when I pick it up in a week or two, i also found out that cammando green rubicons now ship with black decals instead of silver and I am very happy about that. Let the ordering of parts begin!!
