Lexus has decided to lower the price of its midsize SUV, the GX460. For 2014, the GX460 pricing will start at $49K, almost 10% less than last year. Standard equipment includes a 300 hp V8, six speed automatic trans, two speed transfer case, center locking differential, and Toyota's Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS).

So if you like the 4Runner Trail Edition, but really want a V8, go see your Lexus dealer.

Doesn't Get Out Enough
After seeing the GX'ers on here (DanBrown, TexGX, etc) I won't discount it's abilities, but that face... Yikes. I wasn't too fond with the 2014 4Runner's refresh a couple months ago, but she's a lookin' not so bad now.

Oh well, I guess this what a Lexus is supposed to look like these days. I'm sure it would be quite a plastic-cutting adventure to try and fit an aftermarket front bumper to this thing.

EDIT: Jalopnik just weighed in on the new GX, lol - http://jalopnik.com/the-2014-lexus-gx-460-hungers-1190159424

I really don't see how you COULD put an aftermarket bumper on without a ton of plastic cutting.
Interesting to see what they factory bull bar will look like as many of the Prados I saw in Oz had Toyota front bumpers with Roo bars as they looked decent.

Love my '06 GX470 and this new facelift really makes me love what I have. Not so sure what they were thinking with that new front end. Yuck.

who buys a new lexus suv...old wealthy people...at least that seems to be the population I see most here in N. AZ

I'm sure 99.9% people buying this truck won't worry too much about how they are going to cut the plastic and fit an ARB...

And doesn't the lc prado have a different front end?

I actually think the lexus looks pretty good...I'd drive one:)...

Took a long trip with another couple in one. It is a glorious SUV and it tops on my "replacement" list several years down the road.

Says the leader of FJ haters for no reason... They didn't remake the 40 series with a diesel so it's a POS. Have you drove an FJ before?

Yes, I have driven a FJ...while not my cup of tea, as I think it is trying too hard.

I do not, quote hate unquote, FJ Cruisers...check out what I said in UpCruisers thread about his new FJ Cruiser.

Believe it is an outstanding platform...just isn't very pretty. Which might be a good thing, if you don't like how it
looks, you tend to actually use it harder.

Sure, Toyota could of designed it better...but man, all of their 2014 designs seem to have gone completely off the rails (did someone poison the Sake? is the Transformer Generation coming of age? Toyota why you no try no more?)...and no new drive trains on those Angler Fish to lure in old and new buyers.

I can't wait to see how they will screw up the Tacoma...

...would be pretty smart for Ford to bring the World Ranger over here, if the Lexus, 4Runner, & Tundra are an inkling to what
is in store for the Taco.

Didn't mean to come off as a d!ck. Everyone has their own opinion on what looks good and what doesn't. I am one that has liked the styling from the get go. Maybe I liked what the fj had to offer ie short wheelbase, rear locker, atrac and simple interior.
I also agree on the 14' styling, I hope this isn't a sign of what is to come. The fj ends in 14 and the only hope is Tacoma and trail 4runner. The front end of the new 4runner is terrible so like you said I can't wait to see how they mess up the taco.
