was the 5.29 geares a big help? what you like about them?

Stock is 4.3 so 5.29 is 23% shorter gearing. His tires are ~9% bigger so it overcompensates quite a bit. It gives you a lower 1st gear and closer usable ratios; perfect for hauling or towing. If not hauling or towing, you'll probably lose some MPG on the highway, but I doubt it will be much. Some people claim the regear keeps the transmission from "hunting", but I haven't noticed mine doing that with the same diameter tire and stock gears. One nice thing is that you can easily accommodate 37s which look best IMO, and give you some ground clearance and rolling benefits offroad.
