2015 Pyrite Mica Toyota Tacoma
TRD Off Road Access Cab 4X4
modified for extended off road/on road travel.

Current Mileage 107,282 (will go up some, third vehicle so not by much)
FOR SALE: $30,250.00
Vin # 5TFUU4EN4FX142398

I sold this Tacoma from this forum back in 2000 and bought it back in 2021. A very cool "car guy" /off -road enthusiast bought it for a trip supporting a group of motorcycling friends doing the Great Divide Ride ....but the trip never happened. He called me asking about selling to the next Buyer in line...and I bought it back!

Purchased completely stock in 2016 with 8355 miles on the odometer from Prime Toyota in Lancaster, MA. For $28,800.00.

I bought this truck to modify for extended off road travel with increased capacities and redundancies both in load/cargo and for towing but also to maintain enhanced and improved on road performance. It has been perfect and exceeded my expectations.

The rear seats are not installed but were removed to allow for more storage during trips starting at about 10K miles. The intermediate owner (2021-2021) has the seats and I think they are still available.

Average gas mileage (not while towing) as it’s current set up is 14 MPG. Tank size is 21 gallons. I’ve never pumped in more than 19 ish, so the low gas light comes on at around 3 gallons useable?

Other than Oil Change and Installation- Repairs: New Factory Part replaced Hydro booster. New Front R- CV Axle. New Yukon Rear Ring & Pinion 4.56 & Kit. The rear ring had a tooth broken so I took it back to the Driveline Specialist who installed the gears and while it was there, they jump started it to the wrong battery and fried my hydro booster

Roughly 37K my cost in mods/upgrades to date.

This has been my favorite build and I’ve kept it longer than most of my other vehicles. It’s been obsessively maintained and when not being used was kept under cover or in an enclosed garage. It cleans up to almost as new condition except for the three small areas showing in the pics. I’m pretty sure two can be buffed out as they are not into the base coat and the other inside the passenger door handle is from the paint on a glove from when I was painting the rock rails.

The rails have three coats of iron oxide rust oleum primer and three coats of flat black rust oleum finish coat all over an ospho prep bath and two mineral spirits wipe and drip dry.

I have all the paperwork for everything that’s been done to the truck since I’ve owned it.

The ASE certified Toyota master Tech/Master Diagnostic Technician certified mechanic who has worked on the truck since I bought it is also available to answer any questions any serious buyers may have.

MODS BY INTERMEDIATE OWNER:
Snorkel
all LED lights in cab
12 v Cigarette Lighter Outlet added in bed.

I’m sad to see it go but we’re going down to 2 vehicles. My loss is your gain. Happy shopping!

Any pics w/snorkel? Looks like only driver seat has cover how is it underneath? What are the chances of getting the backseats back?

I’m getting some new pics this week. Pollen season is ended i think, finally. Drivers seat looks great. Pretty good chance to get the rear seats back. Will check with the brief interim owner and see if I can get up there to collect them.

So many cool rigs. Mileage goes up by about 10 per week. I have access to the rear seats and will pick them up by end of May and have them with the truck.
