Hi everyone greetings from New Brunswick Canada. I'll be using this thread to document my Power Wagon Build. This first post will be kept up to date on its current and planned status.

I'm known as JeepingNet on most other forums but since my Overlanding isn't just Jeeps anyone I decided to keep this under my Name. Next post I'll describe a bit more about my background, vehicle ownerships and plans of this rig as I believe that is important on any build thread.

Purpose of build
  1. Daily Driver (I only daily 5,000-10,000km a year)
  2. Cottage Support / Country living rig
  3. Overlander

So about me and my Jeep/Truck ownership. I'm from New Brunswick Canada I've been wheeling for about 25 years. Was one of the original 5 to start the New Brunswick Jeep Club and a number of other off-road groups. I have trail guided for Jeep Jamboree and was the unofficial trail master for a number of years in Southern New Brunswick. However about 10 years ago my life shifted as my career got crazy, I had kids, bought a second property, got into sailing, etc. Life is now getting back to a calm routine, sold my boats, and looking at starting to think about slowing down my career. So time for a new build!

I've been involved in social media on Jeeps since before social media. JeepList was an e-mail list back in the 90s that I was highly involved with and ended up starting a website called 4x4offroad.com back then to answer common questions asked on JeepList and then sometime in 2000s I started Jeeping.net. I do hope to get back to running Jeeping.Net and making videos but right now the focus is on having fun.

History of Off-road rigs

Suzuki Sidekick - I bought it when I was 17. I had wanted a Cherokee but just couldn't afford it as a 17-year-old but it was the rig that got me into wheeling.

  • 1988 Jeep YJ - The Jeep that started it all.
  • 1998 Jeep Tj - Owned for 10 years and ended be being locked front/back on Iroks - https://www.jeeping.net/?cat=2
  • 2004 Ford F-150 - Tow rig and daily
    -- got into Overlanding
  • 2005 Jeep Tj Rubicon - https://www.jeeping.net/?p=88
  • 2018 Jeep JK Unlimited Rubicon - https://www.jeeping.net/?p=118
    --kids and life got crazy
  • 2012 Jeep Grand WK2 - The biggest lemon
  • 2008 Jeep Grand WK - build out on 33s and OME suspension
  • 2005 Jeep LJ Rubicon - still own and will always own
  • 2016 Ram 1500 Longhorn - traded in for my Power Wagon

Power Wagon showed up this week! Took a bit longer than I expected I ordered at the start of January and it showed up on June 28th. So far I'm loving the truck and have upgrades ready to start going on it next week after it goes back to the dealership for a few days for undercoating.

Looks so big next to the trade-in but feels fairly similar in size when driving just taller.

Nice truck! I had that magnaflow exhaust on my 19 power wagon like you mentioned, be careful the drone is terrible with that set up.

looks good. I think white is the best PW color by far. I personally would not under coat it, unless you are talking about a lanolin based under coating. Also thuren told me their shocks will not work without their coils. I went back and forth with them and they flat said they will not work with stock PW coils. Here is the crazy thing there are a couple of people who actually lost 1/2" of height on new 2022 Power Wagons when going to thuren 1/2" lift coils. there is a long post on ramforum in the power wagon section regarding this.

************ truck my rebel is in the same color minus my fender flare being gray now. I love the white on black look from Ram.
