I thought about that, but AZ state law does not allow tracks on the roads. And the Trooper is my daily driver. Talk about getting through, or over, traffic though. :sport_box :xxrotflma

In Feb 2005......

I was in Duck Creek Village Utah to take my kids snowmobiling.

They had 5' to 6' feet of snow during that storm!

As we rounded a corner....here comes a Jeep Wrangler.....with a set of tracks on it just like in your pic!.....well....actually a little shorter I think.

First time I have ever seen such a thing on a Wrangler!

It was pretty Kewl!

Some pics to prove the snowfall!!!!

The Lodge was so snowed in....see pic.....I couldn't even drive in the parking lot until they plowed it 30 minutes after I got there early in the morning. Not a Creature was stirring!.....they were ALL snowed in!!!!!!!!

....see very happy campers snowmobiling their brains out! :)

Scott........

Oh ya.....

Now I remember seeing that on your website months back.

I love Duck Creek Village.....I try and take my kids there snowmobiling at least once a year!

I would really like to have a cabin up there. It's so centrally located to do so much exploring!

This would DO!!!!

Kewl story at your website!.....Thanks!

Aloha!...............Mark

dieck.....the tracks on your Ranger photo are pretty much just like what I saw on the wrangler......so I've seen these things in action.......it's amazing to watch! In Duck Creek......when they get a bad storm.....thats about the only way to get around except for snowmobiles or other like vehicles!

The really cool thing about that Land Rover with the tracks is that it was actually a factory authorized conversion, meaning the vehicle would still have been under warranty. It was known as the Cuthbertson Land Rover, since the conversion work was done by Cuthbertson and Sons in Scotland.

I believe the vehicle could be converted back to a "normal" Land Rover, with just a hoist, and half-day in the shop wrenching.

Last I heard, there were only about a dozen of those guys known to still be in existence, so if you got to see that one in person, consider yourself lucky.

Would love to see it in person, walk around underneath it to check it out!
But
I found that one in a photo set from the recent Mid Atlantic Rally (MAR). It's an East coast Land Rover Rally that took place last week.

Well, if you've got some time to kill, there's a neat bright yellow one (AA Yellow) owned by a filling station/Land Rover specialists up in the Scottish Highlands. Just head north out of Sterling towards the Rob Roy Magregor monument, and you'll see it on your right about a half hour down the road.... ;)

I can't think of the companies name, I just remember stumbling on it a couple of years ago.
