235/80R17's on a 7.5" wheel?

Question for the skinny tire crowd. Will a 235/80R17 fit well on a 7.5" wide wheel? BFG lists the wheel range as 6"-7.5" so it would be at the max for width. Thoughts?

Had a set of 235/80R17 Michelins on the stock 7.5" wide 17's on my GMC. They were fine, and I would not hesitate to run them again were it not for my love of the 255/80R17 size.

I run 235/85R16 BFG KO2 (I had to know, they are within 0.2% of the same dimensions) on 7.5" rims. It works and Discount didn't hesitate. But know that your wheel rims will be exposed, mine are taking kind of a beating. It might be slightly more exaggerated with the 17" rims, too.
