Looking good @Snare

Did you regear? How does it drive on 35's with your current gear?

I was about to ask the same question, even with 33's it's a gutless wonder, can't imagine actually wheeling 35's with stock gears. When I say wheeling, I mean more than just splashing through a few puddles on forest roads.

Thanks for not being obnoxious like some people continually are on here.

4.90s are in the works. Have everything to do them, just waiting for time and shop space to do it.

And to be honest, surprisingly, I find it to be no where near as bad as i thought it was going to be with the 4.27s.

Just trimmed the front fenders today, may post some pics of that soon.

Looks amazing dude, rides like you're on clouds now doesn't it? Did you remove the rear sway while you were in there?

Hey Jaccox23, thanks!

Yes I love the feel of the new suspension, its awesome!

As far as the rear sway bar, I read it somewhere that with these upgrades it could be removed. TBH I thought about it but this is my family overland and I'm not planning to do anything extreme so I rather keep it on for safety purposes since I won't lose anything on what I'm doing.

I also thinking of putting 35 on my truck as well but after I had been running 33's with 4.2 gear for awhile. with recent 4.9 upgrade I think I'm going to stick with 33's for what I will be doing it should be just perfect (35 also look ************ ain't gonna lie lol).

very nice I'd like to hear how the 4.90 improve your economy vs. the 4.27 which I'm sure was constantly hunting for the right gear with 33's

First Post really here as I just got my 2003 Montero back in March and just found the forum. So far I love the vehicle. It's so roomy and just unique especially where there are Jeeps, and 4Runners and trucks everywhere you turn where I live. So far I haven't done much, put new tires on it, and some simple maintenance. Added some window tint and deflectors, fixed the busted rear SUB with a replacement, fixed the temp gauge and installed new head unit with AUX and painted the rims black because they were pretty scuffed up. Up next is most likely valve cover gasket and spark plugs as it's getting to be that time and then timing belt... blaaa. The truck runs super smooth though I have no complaints, It still feels new through the suspension, no ticking or any weird cracking and noises "knock on wood"

If anyone can point me in the right direction to a nice decent Front brush guard, maybe a decent roof basket I'm looking to add those next. Thanks you

Just Finished the wheels and a wash just in time for a rain.

In Wyoming for the eclipse this last weekend. Car did admirably, but need an actual cabin filter and I now have to replace a cv joint which is starting to click when turning and backing up.
