OK. I will bite. What are you going to do with the turbo and when will you make your diabolical plan a consumer option for the rest of the Land Rover community? :sombrero:

I'll be watching this build. Now if only I could find a turbo . . . Lance? Lance? Are you there? :coffee:

cheers

Definitely a big turbo, but not a 7.3L. They don't have Variable Geometry, only the 6.0L and later if I recall.

Nice rotary muffler! :)

I used to have an Aerocharger, which was a gas VGT turbo on my Focus. It was pretty nice, and there was NO lag. I have a datalog somewhere of throttle position vs. manifold pressure. I could snap the throttle open, and have boost in the manifold before my foot was even to the floor, and full boost arrived 0.2 seconds later. Unfotunately it died as did most Aerochargers. I've got a GT28R on there now.

In this case this manufacturers Non computerized Diesels with VVT's use boost in a similar way that Gasser's use vacuum. I'd tell you what the turbo came off of but I'd have to kill you..

Merc uses a vacuum controller on their diesels.

Toy's in D2's Well yeah still plugging away. In fact I was just out at the heat treat shop yesterday confirming what the treatment should be for the axles.

Lance? I talked with Lance yesterday, he promised to remind the secret supplier of our needs.
