Just noticed that there are about 26 Unimogs for sale on Government Liquidation, and thought some here might be interested.

That would be just the right thing for trail stewardship projects. We have a dozen bridges to build in the next little while. Getting one of those up here would be a real challenge though.

I was wondering what a winning bid strategy would look like. I guess it comes down to how much can one afford to risk. I think the smart money would try to get at least two of the trucks and then cannibalize both to get close to one working vehicle. The excavation equipment you would remove has value and would probably go a long way toward paying for repairs. And I think that Freightliner nameplate might make it much easier to get the thing road legal.
