I have found a tire that I really like. Its the Nitto Terra Grappler but the closest size to what I need is a 265/70/16. Iam currently running 255/70/16 on a stock 1999.5 Pathfinder. How much rubbing if any will there be? Also has anybody have experience with these tires? Thanks for the help

I have no idea how tight the clearance is on your vehicle but looking at the specs on the TireRack.com for the ever popular BFG AT there is little difference between the two sizes.

255/70R16D
10.2" wide / 30.2" tall

265/70R16D
10.7" wide / 30.7" tall

I would guess that you have a half inch of clearance to spare in both height and width.

The NTG is a good tire for the money. I liked them, but I prefer the Yokohama Geolander AT-S.

The problem with that tire size is that almost all the tires in that size are "P" rated tires, not "LT" tires. You get less tread depth and the tires are not as robust as their "LT" rated cousins. The only LT265 70 r16 all terrain I know of would be the BFG AT and it is very expensive in that size ($210 each:Wow1:).

Now, if you go with the LT245 75 r16 size, you will have many, many more choices.
