285's on '04 sequioa w/ stock wheels?

i'm looking to put 285/70r17 on the wifes sequioa. simple spacer lift front and rear. i'm just lookin gto clear some larger tires. it will spend 99% of its time as a commuter for her. my question is. if i put the 285's on the factory sequioa wheels will they clear the upper a-arms? i know his has a been a problem on the tacomas, but i was wondering if it was an issue on the sequioas as well. anyone have any experience with this. i would like to keep the factory wheels. thanks

You'll need wheel spacers for the front. Same suspension setup as the tundras and same thing happens with 285s and stock rims, rubbing on the top upper control arm.

i knew it was the same as the tundra and assumed it would rub the same as the tundras. thanks for the verification

as far as wheel spacers go, is spidertrax the best way to go? i want to use the narrowest spacer i can get by with.

I used spidertrax before and never had a problem, offroading and all that. It will look good too, you should also get some for the rear, it will look off, which is why mine are off because I only have a pair for the front and could not stand the look!

i'm going to try the front only for now. i was wondering if it woudl look wierd. guess there is only one way to find out. thanks for the info

Another bump for spidertrax...Call and get their scratch and dent ones....Still good just the coating didn't come out right...

Post some pictures when you put the bigger tires on there. I've always liked the sequoia but you never see them modified at all.
