2nd chance f250

It is time for me to get serious about building my 2nd 2004 Ford F250 crew cab short bed FX4, the first(pictures posted on the Fullsize show thread) was done in early 04 on a brand new truck, with brand new parts for Offroad magazine articles. I loved the truck until the 6.0 egr cooler/headgasket problems reared their ugly head. The truck was traded And I went through a jeep commander, a couple of F150 supercrews until I missed the big superduty too much. I looked hard for a 7.3 where I lived then (Nebraska) but they were like gold. The 2nd 04 was found, clean low miles and priced right.
I also traded the wifes Xterra for a gas Excursion at the time because child #4 was coming. The f250 had under 40k miles, a little Ford warranty left, so I dropped a HOT tuning device in and beat it until I blew the headgasket, Ford repaired it with the updated parts, and I did a partial bulletproof job, EGR delete, coolant filter CTS monitor with Powerhungry performance tunes, full exhaust, Bulletproof diesel FICM with non inductive heating tune, all aluminum radiator. I figured that in a while when it blew again I would do studs, HPOP etc. 6 years and 80k miles later running a race tune, it has been as reliable as a rock!
In the meantime we have moved to IL. Sold the Jayco Baja popup and 4 of the 6 motos we used to haul on it. so now it is time to rework the old superduty into a self contained camping unit.
as it sits now it has 125k miles, 4.5" hanger lift 35" trail grapplers, ARE topper with Thule rails, front and rear reciever hitches Carli type minpacks in place of the factory overloads in the rear, bilsteins, 60" highlift jack mounted in the bed, ARB fridge, and Viaair compressor, and access brand softbedcover for use when the shell is removed.
I plan to carry a canoe, 1 or 2 dirtbikes, gear for 1-6 people and 2 rottweilers. I already have Thule rails for the cabtop I know that with everything and all of the passengers
I am near my GVW, but not my axle ratings, and the powertrain does not even strain. More Photos will follow, I am open to/ and asking for advice on products and projects to bring this toegether.droid 035.jpg

I have a 2005 ccsb and am looking forward to seeing what you come up with. I went from a supercrew f150 too, and I absolutely love my super duty. Knock on wood, I haven't had any of the MAJOR 6.0 problems in 117k miles, but I've been slowly upgrading parts as I go along. These trucks are bulletproof once they're bulletproofed!
